I spent two years of undergraduate study at the University of South Alabama and three at the University of Mobile. In the summer following my freshman year of college during a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico, I came to a profound realization that God has called me to fulltime pastoral ministry. I have spent the last eight years trying to pursue and honor that call. At the University of Mobile I met my wife, Liz, who was studying nursing. We graduated UM together in May of 2007, got married that June, and moved to Wilmore, Kentucky, within the month so that I could attend Asbury Theological Seminary. God used our four years there to transform us in life-changing ways. Our son, Noah, was born August 2010. He has more personality than his two parents combined. Our daughter, Eden, was born May 2012. She...well...I'm wrapped.
I like movies, disc golf, music (listening and playing), coffee, stimulating conversation, grilling, college and pro football, the water, and spending “low key” time with Liz and “not so low key” time with Noah. I also love learning, preaching and teaching, and I have turned into a reader over the past few years. I love to get my mind into new ideas and areas of study and then talk about it with people for as long as they’ll let me.
